Hello Friend.

 

       I'm Taylor, the owner and photographer of Taylor Powell Portraits LLC. I am 29 years old living in Covington, Ga south-east of Atlanta! I have been in this business for 12 years! I am married to the love of my life, Blake, and have two beautiful children, Logan & Lana. We love adventures, going camping, everything to do with nature but being homebodies and being together is our thing. I'm an old soul that loves Jesus and slow Sundays after church, gardening, documentaries, coffee, salty & sweet snacks (specifically together), & making things with my hands.

 

Photography started as a passion of mine as a little girl watching my Papa doing what he knew best. Always being the subject of the camera, I wanted to be just like him and learn to make people laugh the way he did. As far as I know, he was the greatest man I had ever known and still to this day I will always believe that. He has been gone from us for 7 years now and I still will strive to run my business and keep a smile on everyone's face that I come in contact with, just like I learned from him. My favorite sessions are the ones that are completely effortless, where you just have to catch kids being kids, couples that wear the love they have for one another, and families that laugh as much as possible. I love every aspect and there's not a session that I won't try, but children and weddings are my specialty. As a photographer, you have these moments during any session where you just completely surprise yourself. You think to yourself, "Holy Cow, I cannot believe I just got that shot.” That is what this job is about, precious moments captured from everyday life. Sometimes, it's not about getting a client to sit down, sit straight, smile big, look here, look there, hold this, etc. etc... But it's about finding that moment of peace and innocence in a child or couple that is irreplaceable and that they will cherish forever.

I could not have dreamt of a better career. Offering my clients a unique and one of a kind experience is what I strive for and having clients walk away with the biggest smile on their faces continuously melts my heart. The product I produce is one that has been carefully crafted to fit you. Before I photograph you, I want to know as much about you, your life, and what you like to do for fun! This helps me create the scene and images that are curated just for you. As mentioned above, I feel what makes are good photographer is passion. If you’re not passionate about the images and art work you are creating, then why do it? It is incredibly important to me no matter what, that the client feels that their images reflect who they are and what they love. I get the opportunity to tell your story through the lens and hold it close to my heart that you are happy with my final product. I hope to see you soon and get the chance to tell your story!
